BASF produces solvents of highest quality that meet the specific needs of the pharmaceutical industry. We also offer comprehensive packages of support services and newly developed solutions for selected products. An outstanding example is our THF Pharma Super Dry with an even further reduced water content (50 ppm max.), which is the solvent of choice for many water-sensitive reactions.

* BASF has expanded its offer for the chemical intermediate THF specifically for its pharma customers in Europe. The new package: THF Solutions will include the elements “THF Pharma,” “THF Pharma Super Dry” and “THF life-cycle solution.” In addition to “THF Pharma,” the package will comprise a THF grade with an even lower water content (“THF Pharma Super Dry”) as well as an initiative aimed at taking back used THF (“THF life-cycle solution”). High-purity THF is especially well suited for use in those new and complex water-sensitive reactions occurring frequently in the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients.
